Frequently Asked Questions
What is an apostille?
An apostille is an official certification that allows a public document issued in one country to be legally recognized in another country that is part of the Hague Apostille Convention.
Which documents can you apostille?
We only apostille documents that were issued in the state of Texas, including birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce decrees, diplomas, powers of attorney notarized in Texas, and Texas business documents.
Do you apostille documents from other U.S. states?
No. Documents must be apostilled in the state where they were issued. We only handle apostilles for documents issued in Texas.
I live outside the United States. Can you still help me?
Yes. Many of our clients live abroad. As long as your document was issued in Texas, you can mail it to us from overseas and we will return it to you once the apostille process is complete.
How do I send my documents to you?
After placing your order, we’ll email you clear instructions on how and where to send your documents. You may use the carrier of your choice.
How long does the apostille process take?
Processing times depend on the Texas Secretary of State’s workload. We submit documents promptly upon receipt and return them as soon as the apostille is issued.
Does your price include shipping?
Our service price includes the Texas Secretary of State fee. Return shipping is selected and paid for at checkout based on your location and preferred delivery method.
Can you notarize my documents?
No. We do not provide notarization services. Documents must already be properly notarized or certified before submission.
What if I’m not sure my document qualifies?
If you’re unsure whether your document can be apostilled, contact us before placing an order and we’ll help you determine next steps.
